Absolutely. Give us a call at 866.392.9936 with your order number and we will be glad to give you your tracking information and number regarding your order.

  8. What is the difference between Carbon Metallic and Z-Rated?
Both are from the Carbon-Metallic family of brake compounds.  The Z-Rated has an additional cold bite for high performance, severe duty applications.  The difference between the two can be found in the matrix model used in creating the pad.  The compounds are slightly different allowing z-rated pads to be used for high performing severe duty applications. Typically the Carbon-Metallic is used for everyday driving.  Although we offer the Z-Rated Carbon-Metallic our standard Carbon-Metallic does in fact outperform our competitor’s top line products.

  9. Are Z-Rated pads harder on rotors?
In fact our Z Rated pads do not threaten the integrity of the rotor.  The compounds used do not cause runout and still offer a superior braking experience.

  10. I’ve never heard of Performance Friction. Can you explain what you do?
We are a braking system manufacturer that started in the racing industry ranging from open wheel to NASCAR and dirt track.  We have broadened our business model to include fleets such as police, light, medium & heavy duty applications as well as air disc.  We offer superior products by engineering a carbon-metallic compound matrix which has proven to be Quieter, Quicker and Last Longer all while being the most environmentally friendly brake pads. All parts are proudly made in the USA.

  11. (Fleet) Why are you calling me?
We call fleets to drive the demand of our product’s benefits and our company’s services.  We offer our products at distributors around the globe if there is not a distributor we do offer direct shipping.  We would like to help XYZ Fleet cut cost with our products.  We do offer guarantees and warranties to reassure our customers.  (Last Resort) We would like to test our product on your fleet to give you the opportunity to see firsthand how our product can benefit your company.  We want the chance to earn your business.  We guarantee cost savings and a better performing brake system for all our fleets.

  12. How can I determine which compound to use for the different types of racing I do?
This information can be found on our website.  We offer 6 different types of compounds for race.  The information on the benefits of each compound can be found Here.

  13. Why are PFC pads more expensive than most other competitors?
The price of our products are initially more expensive because we engineer our products with superior materials and processes when creating the pads.  However, all of our customers save money with the extended life and quality of our pads. The value they bring to each and every customer proves this. Let’s take a look at our savings calculators before we process your order so you can be reassured PFC is the right choice for you.

  14. What makes PFC pads better than the rest?
PFC products are better than other pads because we use a carbon metallic matrix in the mixture of our pads.  This improves thermal (heat) stability, increasing friction (force of resistance against a moving surface, which is the pad against the rotor).  Because we use a carbon-metallic compound base, our pads do not contain NAO materials that closely resemble asbestos such as competitor’s ceramic brakes.  Most importantly, the compounds we use offer a longer lasting material that out performs the competitors by stopping quicker and quieter.  Competitors cannot match our cost efficiency over any pad life PFC offers.

Distributor FAQ's

Discount structure is based to reward larger orders to stress importance of the growth incentive goals. Reaching a certain discount level is up to the customer.

  2. What is the difference between a .10 and a .20?
Both are from the Carbon-Metallic family of brake compounds. The .10 is Z-Rated giving it additional cold bite for high performance and/or severe duty applications.

  3. Who is going to buy PFC products if we stock them?
With the superior products that we offer, our distributors never have a problem selling PFC products to all of their customers. We also work with our distributors by helping them find serviceable fleets.

  4. How can I become a valued account of PFC?
We have to get their information and qualify them. There is a minimum first order amount and minimum amount spent annually.

  5. How can I reach a deeper discount level in OQD?
Buy more PFC products where the Jobber price is at or above each qualifying discount level. Increase inventory purchased and you can jump into a higher discount on total products purchased. The discount obtainable is up to the customer to make the proper order. Try packaging pads and rotors and make good use of the 28 day grace period which the customer can then earn a deeper discount, higher profits and receive the growth incentive rebate.

  6. How do I reach a deeper discount in OQD without over stocking my inventory just to get a better discount?
Make good use of the 28 day grace period or you can replace products ordered from competitors with PFC products. Add PFC products to the already existing order from PFC. This increase in product amount purchased from PFC will increase OQD discount without over stocking inventory at distribution center.
